School & Educational Initiatives

We are dedicated to improving personal and planetary well-being through daily connections with nature.

We provide educational resources and tools to empower teachers, students, parents, and schools to include nature in their curriculum. We believe that every child deserves access to nature-based learning, and recognize this will need to vary depending on their needs, environment, and circumstances.

We work closely with schools and parents to drive change in education and strive to create a global mass-movement championing health-conscious, eco-friendly choices.

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

— Helen Keller

FOREST BATHING

Spending time in forests, a practice known in Japan as "Shinrin-yoku" or forest bathing, has been scientifically proven to lower cortisol levels, pulse rate, and blood pressure.

These natural settings promote relaxation and have a restorative effect on mental health.

This aligns with findings that green spaces can enhance cognitive functioning and emotional well-being.

COLLABORATION & INTEGRATION

At 365 with Nature, we are passionate about providing tools and resources to enhance childhood education and overall well-being.

By integrating nature into a child’s daily life, you foster a healthier, more productive learning environment and contribute to a global movement for a better planet. Together, we can create a healthier, more sustainable educational setting.

Whether your school is in-person, hybrid, or supporting learning in the home, there are many ways to make connecting with nature every day fun for everyone involved. Here are some 365 with Nature themed activities for inspiration:

  1. Outdoor learning lessons or breaks

  2. Volunteer for local environmental projects, like a park or beach clean-up

  3. Team builders immersed in nature, like an obstacle course or picnic

  4. Wellness and nature workshops

  5. Nature-based activities, like trying a plant-based recipe, doing a creative craft, nature-based journaling or art, field trips to nature centers or animal sanctuaries

  6. Incorporating eco-friendly materials, cookware, and plants into your classroom

365 with Nature is working with schools and parents to help them commit to increasing the proportion of their education that supports eco-friendly practices and student-based wellness. If you would like our support to help your school incorporate more health and earth conscious choices into your plans, please get in touch.

EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS & UNIT STUDIES

We understand the importance of hands-on learning experiences and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for science. Our aim is to provide students with the tools and resources they need to get closer to nature and develop a deeper understanding and connection with the natural world.

We have developed a range of learning opportunities specifically designed to facilitate outdoor science education and encourage students to connect with nature, observe their surroundings, and actively participate in scientific discovery.
